To allow ample time for all patients and scheduled surgical procedures, we operate primarily by appointment. Emergency cases shall always receive top priority, which is why occasional appointment delay is inevitable. Please realize that we make a sincere attempt to see each client on time.
We require 24 hours advance notice if you are unable to keep your non-surgical appointment. A fee equal to the exam charge normally incurred if you had kept the appointment will be charged to your account.
A 48 hour notice must be given for surgical and dental appointments. A minimum fee of $75.00 will be charged without 48 hours notice.
Patient Arrival Policy
For your protection, and that of others, all dogs must be on a leash and properly controlled while in the waiting area or exam rooms. We do not recommend use of Flex/retractable leashes used for your pet while here at the animal hospital. They do not give you proper control of your pet so for the safety of all involved we ask that you do not use this type of leash.
All cats must be presented in an appropriate cat carrier or on a leash.
For your convenience, 'drop-off' appointments are available. A 'drop off' means you could bring your pet at the time that works best for you and leave him/her with us for a few hours. Usually we will ask you to drop off' sometime in the morning so our doctors can examine the patient in between appointments or at the time purposely reserved for admitted patients. Once the doctor is done, they will give you a call to go over the diagnosis and to give you discharge instructions.
For the safety of all animals in our care, we require that all vaccinations be up to date. Even though we make every effort to make our patients feel comfortable during visits, they may be a little uneasy about new people, new surroundings and other pets. This is one of the reasons we ask you to restrain your pet. We recommend that animals be placed on a leash or in pet carriers before entering the waiting room.
Online Pharmacy Prescription Requests
We do not work directly with online pharmacies. If they fax or call our hospital with a request, it will be denied. It is your responsibility as the owner should you want to use an online pharmacy to request a written script from the doctor and then send it to the online pharmacy. It has been documented that some online pharmacies do not acquire their medications from reliable sources and using medications from an online pharmacy voids the guarantee from the drug company that is in place when you purchase your pets medications from our hospital. We are competitively priced and our decision to not work directly with online pharmacies is in your pet's best interest and does not have a monetary component.
We require full payment at the time that services are rendered. For your convenience, we accept Visa, MasterCard, cash and personal checks.
